i actually just read

alla bout what actually happened from a few different web sites
&
of course, the stories i heard were wrong,
it turns out,

1)

the house belonged to a the fraternity Klan Alpine in the 1970s.

Chuck Stenzel was a freshman at Alfred University from Long Island
and was pledging that frat.

One night, the fraternity brothers came to the dorms
to pick up pledges and bring them back to the house for a party.
Chuck and two other freshman were locked in the trunk of a car
and were given a pint of Jack Daniels,
a 6-pack of beer
and a quart of wine
and were told to consume it all by the time the car stopped.
The exposure to the cold and excessive drinking caused
Chuck to pass out,
he was carried upstairs and left on a mattress where he died.

This was in one of the bedrooms upstairs.

The frat held no responsiblity for what happened.
There is actually a movie about it called, "Broken Pledges".

2)

This story isnt so straight foward...
The same house belonged to Zeta Beta Tau from 1997-2002

In 2002, Ben Klein and four other members of his fraternity
drove to Syracuse for a ZBT's convention.
Klein had been drinking heavily during the night and
"revealed secret traditions of the fraternity."
on Saturday morning, as the group returned to Alfred,
two members hit Klein repeatedly in the face because
of his actions the night before. Klein surrendered his
duties as treasurer and resign from the fraternity.
He wrote a letter of resignation, told his fraternity
brothers he was leaving the Alfred University
and he packed up his things to go home.
Klein was seen at the Uni-Mart located next to the house,
purchasing a 22-oz. bottle of beer.
then, he was reported missing.
Alfred village police found Klein's body in a shallow creek bed,
in the backyard of his house,
four days later.

this time, the two guys who beat Ben went to jail for assault.
the alfred branch of Zeta Beta Tau was closed forever, but no one was ever charged for murder.

FRATS ARE NO GOOD.
they just dont know when to stop and then they cover murders asses.
